Neither does the Alien in isolation, or any other example you are gonna give.
all “learning” AI in games is fake, it’s always preset behaviours with pre-requisites to unlock. When it goes as intended it can give impression of learning, but can easily be manipulated to expose the charade.
EG armoured core silent line had “learning” AI where you built a mech and taught it how to fight by playing as it, then it would fight on its own using behaviours you taught it. But it’s all fake, it has a bunch of preset tiers in each catagory, and uses one these based on how well you did at that thing during the “teaching”. So if you are really good at dodging, the AI “”learns”” and is now also a master dodger.
Except you could easily cheese it. There’s one opponent who doesn’t use any weapons with lock-box, so you are litterally never being targeted, game considers being outside enemy lock box as “avoiding lock on” and rates you a master of evasion. Despite fact that you beat this guy by just staying at a distance where his flamethrower can’t hit you and shooting him. Don’t need to dodge anything, just back pedal. But by repeatedly using this fight to “teach” the AI “””learns””” to become a master of evasion, and will now use the AI’s highest tier of evasion gameplay, it will move like an expert, far better than 99.9% of players ever could.
