Why is it pro players in these kind of games can make it back to the top within a day, but you can't in a year?
The only common factor in all of your matches is you.
Take Moba shit for an example. A lot of people will get ahead early game but then die a bunch when it actually matters. Doesn't matter what your K/DA is all game if you die 35 mins in and have a 60 second respawn timer.
Same with objective based FPS, take CS for example. You can have double the kills of everyone, but a few rounds where you position like a fucking dipshit and/or throw awful flashes and smokes and you throw all of it out.

Platinum-tier players can pull silver team mates and diamond-tier enemies. Grandmasters only play grandmasters.

This s actually true, especially if you are dealing with 100's of matches/rounds. Take League of Legends and the ELO hell stuff, you get a match and some one is going to feed/throw, well assuming you are not the feeder they are more likely to be on the enemy team.

Actually, for a while now, controller players tend to do better since they get "aim assist" (ie: a literal aimbot) in most games, so kbm players are at a disadvantage.

If the mouse got the same auto aim it beat the controller, meaning its not the controller thats good, its the mild(or very strong) aimbot that males the difference.

Said no one ever. Your personal skill won't make you win every single time, but over the course of hundreds of games it will make the difference betweeen you climbing or not.

It used to be true in Doto. Then Valve changed so much shit around to make it increasingly harder to single carry a game that you have to be leagues and bounds above everyone else to do it.

In pretty much any team based comp game the actual good players play in full stacks. The really really good players don't even play ranked, they just play in private scrims and tourneys. Ranked is just pubstomping to them. You can reach max rank as a solo, but you'll still get matched againts full stack that will wipe you and the randoms your with.

The only exceptions are a few ultra competitive games, like MOBAs, that actually seperate solo que from group que, but games that have common sense are few and far between in other genres. Most games prioritize pub stompers and player population, so they let groups que with anyone and stomp random solos. They do this becuase all but the most popular games will struggle with long que times if they seperate solo and group que.

TLDR; Your rank means nothing unless the game has solo que.

Yes, but I've found that the real issue is whether a game has solo que or not. How your ranked just makes it take longer and win based calculations just favors groups even more. The issue with no solo que is that you will only match againts full stacks the higher you rank regardless of how rank is calculated.
