They’re just really ugly. Most ironic for a region that’s supposed to be all about beauty. Those low detail models combined with a 240p display and no anti-aliasing. And don’t forget how badly the battles ran. Hard to recommend in 2025.

I think it had a better playing and better looking implementation of 3D than the other Pokemon games in retrospect

I also think it had the strongest roster and highest concentration of good new Pokemon designs out of any Pokemon gen

I care about how much damage its development and success did to the series. Probably over half of the game was cut to make the anniversary deadline.
