FFXIV is the only game where I had people take screenshots of my character, use some sort of model editor to put diapers on them, and then posed them like a baby reaching for a bottle and sent me a link to the screenshots.

Granted I was playing a lala at the time so it may have been deserved, but I have never seen such technology used elsewhere.

Is it ACTUALLY good?
Some parts are good, but you have to get involved with the story. There are some fun older fights and pretty locations but nothing that would 100% sell the game.

How involved is it?
It is cookie cutter tab target MMO gameplay. Recent additions to jobs/skills have made a lot of the jobs feel really bad to play because it takes ages to get to the real meat of class. Personally, I really enjoyed the crafting but it is still a rotation. Some of the later endgame fights have a bunch of mechanics where if one person fucks up they wipe the group, but there's plenty of baby content if you just want to do dungeons and raid.
How much time do you spend on it?
I think I had about 6k hours or so before I quit.
