>old game that is widely considered mid or bad is more immersive, engaging and simply more fun than anything released in the last 10+ years
Have you played any old games considered bad and enjoyed them way more than supposed 10/10 modernslop lately? Is there a name for this phenomenon?

Things being worse do not make old bad things retroactively better.

F.E.A.R. 2 it's fun, but developers were too lazy to adapt the enemy AI to open arenas.

Lost Planet 2 it's hella fun once you get the hang of it. Sad the game needs at least 3 players to get all mechs working.

Proabably that incompetence or attempting to please everyone got out of hand in the market. So even 5/10 older material is at least made in a way that makes it stand out beyong consensus board approval games. Some, like FEAR 2 even dared to take risks and get away with adult themes that games would never touch these days (even if it ended up failing).
I'll be honest, I liked Dead Space 3. Only because I liked gun building, I thought that part was fun, even if the rest wasn't that great. I wanted to stay in the lively city way more. fuck the "ice planet".

FEAR 2 is just as bad as FEAR3. Theyโ€™re both retarded shooter that didnโ€™t understand what made FEAR1 great. FEAR3 is actually more fun because you can run through it with a friend.
FEAR1+EP+PM are the only good games in the series.

No. Good modern games are better than old bad ones. Quality does not change retroactively

I don't get the hate for Dead Space 3 desu, I liked the ice Planet and alien ruins, sind the part at the beginning where you explore the derelict ships in orbit was kino. Silliest thing was that Elton John looking villain guy.

I'll be honest, I played through that resident evil raccoon City game too. While it was pretty terrible in a lot of ways, I thought it was fun too go on your adventure as a side character and have a choice to interact with the main characters from the series. I liked saving them myself as an umbrella agent.
