Well believe it or not, Roy's first game was actually Melee, because his game got delayed so Melee actually released before Roy's first Fire Emblem game. So I guess at the time Melee released nobody knew who Roy was. I know I certainly had no idea who he was lol.

That's because "Mr. Game & Watch" is literally a Smash Bros. OC. He wasn't a thing in the original G&W games, which all had their own characters unique to each game. It's not like the juggler from Ball and titular Chef are the same guy. And as a fan of the Game & Watch Gallery games, I was incredibly disappointed the Flatzone stages never got any music from those games.
