It's basically its own thing but it takes place in the universe. Could've been a good spinoff, unlike Invisible War which was full of stupid callbacks to the original Deus Ex and played like ass.

This trash is just a take on deus ex by hitman devs by re creating it as a cover shooter like hitman absolution. The bosses are good but the gameplay is shallow

Devs realized that if it was just a shooter or had tranny shit NOBODY would buy it. They recognized their core demographic was /pol/ and made a game that, at the very least, lets them kill klaus shwaub, jeffery epstien (DLC) and elon musk. DX HR also lets them kill as many prostitutes they want, including only the black prostitutes.
