It's like they don't even know their own story. The limiter coat is literally made to keep the mutations in check and why Nemesis progresses through mutations after each fight, you've damaged the coat the mutations start over coming the retardant effects of it.

And to provide some degree of concealment when Tyrant class weapons are operating in a bodyguard capacity. They're still 8 feet tall, but at least someone could think they're a basketball player or something trying to hide from paparazzi, not a reanimated corpse that could tear apart a squad of soldiers.

The coat makes even more sense when they have dedicated weapon cases with weapons custom designed for his giant hands to increase his effectiveness. That's one thing the remake has over the original, his rocket launcher doesn't look like a Raider pipe weapon from Fallout.

Same reason they got rid of Crows and turned Ivy plants into more generic zombie reskins:

lazy hacks couldn't model and animate anything non-bipedal and humanoid, and they got "trouble getting the AI and gameplay to work".
The RE2RE had spiders planned for the longest of time, you can still find evidence of this in the sewers as well. In the end, they just replaced them with copypasted G-Adults, and gave it a poison stat for some odd reason.

All in all, the RE2 demake and up were hastily put together clusterfucks, trying to thread the fine line between appealing to nostalgia and to the modern PS4-5 era casual over-shoulder action game trends.
