On the first day, cut enough trees for a chest cuz you will get your inventory full in seconds, cut as many weeds as you see for mixed seeds, will boost your beggining by a lot instead of just waiting for your 15 turnips to be ready.
Check the bottom right part of the forest for spring onions for extra energy.

Only spreadsheet you have to make is the Community center bundle list. Study it and remember what you need to get every season. Nothing hurts more in this game than missing a fucking Pumpkin because you planted too late, and you didnt get the Gold Star Pumpkin in time (You have to wait for next year to do this).
Other than that, just play the game, don't minmax. Everything is cheap so making a fortune is totally useless. Just have fun.

Also When Black dude comes and want to put a thing in your cave - choose Fruits, because Mushrooms are easily made with Hardwood+Moss, and fruits are more pain in the ass.

If you're like me, you'll be extremely agitated with how slow everything is and feels. The game is a lot more fun the moment you stop trying to min max it and just chill. It's a casual game and is meant to be played like one.

Energy is limiting at the beginning. You can make food from tree seeds which are easy to gather instead of going to bed at noon.

Dont rush
No one says you have to do everything year one, take your time learn where things spawn, check your tv, talk to the npcs, dont over plant crops the money comes in time

If you don't wanna:
Turn most of your ancient fruit into seeds early on until you have enough. Ancient fruit plants rot in winter if planted outside except for a certain lategame area.
To get max profit, turn all your wares into artisan goods like fruits go into barrels to make wines, wines then go into kegs to make fine wines which are worth a lot.

The best money makers are starfruit wine, riped over the period of a half year, riped ancient fruit wine and truffle oil which you can get by putting the truffles from truffle boars into the oil machines.
And sprinklers are the best thing ever. Get as many sprinklers as possible to automate a huge field for maximum profit for minimum effort. Quality fertilizer is only worth it for flowers. Use speed grow for other crops to turn into artisan goods.
Get the greenhouse and use it to grow ancient fruit and starfruit all year around with sprinklers.
Do the mines dungeon early to get all the common metals to kickstart your farm industry. Also the mines are very easy but the combat will get harder eventually so don't let your guard down
Keep a seashell and a golden coconut for when you get access to the sewing machine.
