so what indie shoegaze band is kojima going to force us to listen to this time?
his taste in music is horrific
>>712618054I'd love for Mogwai to be in this
>>712616419>dude why didn't the eagles just fly the ring into mordor?you nerds never even come up with new answers, shut the fuck up. it's always "WELL WHY DIDN'T THEY FLY!?" because a wizard would've stopped them. that's always the answer. why didn't sam deliver shit in a helicopter? because a damn wizard would've done something about it. happy? no? get over it.
>>712614596 (OP)The game is absolutely stunning. Honestly one of the most beautiful games I have ever seen.
Kojima must have hired wizards to work on his games.

>>712618473ackshully there is a flying mod for Death Stranding that cuts out your autistic walking simulator tedium
>>712614596 (OP)Most of the game looks better but this part really looks like shit. This is just a Houdini terrain preset with some changes. They also didn't check the scale either, that erosion pattern is meant for massive landscapes so unless Sam is literally hundreds of meters tall it's completely off.
>>712619180>i modded naruto and sasuke into gta>that means it is canon that naruto and sasuke are in the plot to gtashut the fuck up, nerd.

>move faster and music speeds up; walk slower and the music slows down etcSeems interesting and if it works is something I think would be cool to see in more games.
>>712614596 (OP)lemme guess, Kojima spoke Japanese over the microphone in a room full of English speakers, and he thought this was okay? It's incredibly rude and disrespectful. Maybe he should slow down on the psuedo-intellectual game ideas and hit an English class for a few months.
>>712614596 (OP)Starfield didn't have a 100th of the interesting ideas or polished gameplay that this had, and I say that as a Kojima hater

>>712614596 (OP)Finally, mountains that I can actually climb
>>712616419Mostly due to the timefall induced by chiralium which appeared with the Death Stranding extinction event. This makes all objects degrade or age extremely fast.
Most high tech shit just doesn't work properly anymore in the Death Stranding universe. They can't even get the internet to work, which is why they invented the "chiral network" which sends information over a so-called beach (a realm that exists between the world's of the living and the dead).
Play the game if you would like to know more.
>>712619441He made an entire game where the villain is trying to destroy the English language and whose entire motivation is seething that other countries are having to use English instead of their own.
Why is Kojima making AIPAC the villain?

hmm i wonder

Are they going to add a music player you can use in the over world this time around? My only big complaint about the first game and kojima with his stupid "muh vision" reasoning for not allowing you to play music as you deliver packages
>>712618054he actually got coheed and cambria to do the soundtrack.
>>712620220They did. You can use it in any region you've connected.

Average dialogue in this game/movie:
>Sam, it's FIGHTLIKEHELLDUDE, the ATs are attacking the base. You need to use the KKP to defend us
>Why me?
>Because the AI of BS is using you to expand the Shartium network along the coast of UCBA
>UCBA? You mean United Cucks of Black America?

>>712619561If rain causes timefall and air is around 60% humidity(same water as rain btw, just evaporated) wouldnโt simply breathing and touching air with your skin cause the same timefall effects but 40% weaker
>>712621554Maybe if it was science but this is caused by the afterlife moving into the world of the living and thus is supernatural. For example the time effects stop once the raindrop hits anything so puddles of rain on the ground do nothing like the humidity you described.
>>712621554It doesn't work like that. Timefall appears where there is rain, but the rain or the humidity itself is not timefall.

>>712621815As another anon pointed out, the timefall effect disappears once the raindrop has fallen.
The game also has timefall shelters that collect the rain and fill up Sam's canteen.
How prominent will Elle Fanning be?
I bet it'll be like Quiet where she's mute for most of the game and Kojima just told her to sing a few songs.
Growing up is realising that Kojima canโt write for shit and other than his cringe camp style, contributes nothing to the games.
With his name comes value though, publishers will give his team time to make a game because they know itโll sell regardless.
His cringe style did benefit MGS for the most part.

Sam's just some delivery guy and he has to deal with this shit.
>>712623836No, that's the bonus missions. The final bonus mission, post game, has you hauling pizza and champagne across the entire map, but the champagne is too fragile to put in a vehicle or on your back. So you have to put it in your hand and hoof it the entire way across america.
>>712614596 (OP)Literally the only game where I wouldn't mind preordering a deluxe edition for a week or two of early access.

>>712624050Last time I got a game delivered early was Xenoblade X for Wii U.
>>712624050Not really. There's no manual paperwork in delivery chain any more so clerical errors are very unlikely.
The only way to get one early now is some backwater mom and pop shop in a third world country (usually france) but I was referring more to dev team, studio contacts, reviewers and influencers.
The game comes out on the 26th so there are copies out already to anyone influential that needs to experess an opinion on or before the release date.
>>712623916Had a good laugh in the first game when Fragile asked Sam to kill Higgs.
Because he is too powerful now, her powers can't do anything.
But Sam can, because he has the power of fucking nothing.
>>712624123And he's literally a normal dude. For all his power of repatriation it allows him to save nothing, and if he is ever in a situation he needs to repatriate he has more than likely just nuked everything around him as a cost for it.
And his blood temporarily disperses BTs but it gives him no superhuman abilities and, being his blood, is extremely limited quantities.
He's still just a guy.
And no, he's not superhuman for carrying that many packages, it's really based on real-life profession that does the exact same but without exoskeletons that in-game porters get to have.
I'm not preordering for the sole reason that i don't want the bonuses in my crafting menu. That didn't work out as expected huh misteruh Kojima.

He literally would have died at the start of the game in the voidout.
Small BTs never trigger a voidout from Sam. Only the big ones if they catch him and eat him.
Yes the blood kills them. Normal bullets do nothing. Why do you think Sam was the first to kill a BT with a blood grenade? They literally tell you that in the tutorial.

When matter and antimatter collide, it creates a conversion of mass to energy with 100% efficiency. This isn't videogame logic by the way this is basic physics.
When BT capture a living thing they try to drag it to the beach, the attempt to cross over the human onto the beach causes the matter-antimatter reaction through the BT which gains a fully phisical antimatter form at that time.
Thecrater is result of the mass of human and BT.
The crater's size is based on BT that takes the human, not whether they have repatriation/dooms or not.

>>712625119Oh so you just want to argue.
>>712625225From the wiki
>A repatriate is a human with the power to guide his soul back to their body after being "eaten" by a BTโtypically achieved through using the Seam after being โstrandedโ to bring themselves back to life once they find their body. How the repatriate's body survives the contact with a BT and the following voidout is a far bigger mystery. Voidouts triggered by contact with repatriates, however, consistently result in smaller craters. It is suspected that this is because energy is โlost" to the Beach, and that in the case of repatriates, the amount of energy lost is particularly high.
The fact Death Stranding is taken seriously at all, funded, that Kojima has a studio and gets to waste money making this pathetic shit is a sign of how decadent the industry has become and how infested it is with Hollywood and music celebrities. It is a major plot and gameplay issue that over-air communications don't work due to the interference and your bikes/cars break down and need to be repaired often. No one has seen stars or the moon for years because of constant cloud cover and storms. The rain itself is what causes the aging, once it lands on the ground it stops being magic.
This is a game about being a fedex guy fighting crazy fedex guys and antimatter ghosts, it's not exactly hard sci-fi.

My phantom pain is not having a ps5 to play this, i'm going to avoid spoilers, which is kinda easy because Kojima games are so crazy you wouldnt understand anythig without context
>>712631140I don't get Kojima, he now fully owns Death Stranding, yet he still does a time exclusive,it's like how he made MGS4 exclusive and years later it was revealed staffs did prototypes on other platforms that worked and Kojima canceled them,is he doing it out of loyalty?

Timefall isn't rain, it is a paranormal (supernatural) form of precipitation and most often appears around BT infestations. >>712636916Yeah if anything the delivery side of gameplay seems even more in depth than before.

>>712637085Stop getting mad at a strawman you invented. Nobody is saying combat should be removed. Just that the delivery gameplay IS what makes DS what it is, not the combat. Does it need both? Sure but the delivery gameplay should always be the bigger priority.

Honestly people don't get what makes Death Stranding special. They always talk about removing combat, vehicles, roads and zip-lines etc. they have no idea. >>712639919There's less than 8 hours of cutscenes ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PuIaNTHrEDQ ) which is an extremely small ratio to the amount of gameplay. The cutscenes are just very front and end loaded so you get a lot of them out of the way right at the start.

One thing I really didn't like in the first one was how developing the roads and ziplines took a lot of the friction out of the game. Building a zipline area in the snowy mountains was great but using it was so boring. It also feels at odds with the themes of connection/alienations. Building tools to connect leaves you with nothing and makes the game more boring than walking alone. It's greatest accomplishment was it made walking entertaining.

The combat is excellent; most people just don't experiment or try out all the different mechanics.
The vehicles are good, people just try going up their very first steep snowy slope in the Truck, and when they can't hold forward in a straight line, they bitch and moan.
Roads and Ziplines while very satisfying to buid a fully connected network, ultimately are trash and make the game extremely boring, taking the gameplay out of the game.
Metal Gear had the tranquiliser gun; well this game has the Tranquiliser Grenade Launcher. If you are too trash to stealth properly, just use this, it makes all camps a joke.

A bit ago I tried a full 540LLL playthrough Offline on Very Hard while build no Roads/Vehicles/Ziplines and managed around 510+ LLL ranks.
