I think my biggest problem in that regard is I'm putting off stuff I enjoy until I'm feeling better, like oh I really want play this game but only when I'm in a good mood because otherwise it would ruin the experience for me, but I'm never in a good mood

I did this until recently when I played Yakuza in Hawaii. It's the only Yakuza I played, and I thought I should leave it until I played the rest. But the series is ridiculously long, and I just wanted to play the pirate one. So I did, and I had a lot of fun.
