Should have been a switch pro and they should have just released mario kart world and all the other switch 2 exclusives on the original switch. They could have toned down the graphics and scope to make them all run.

That's what I would have done if I was CEO of nintendo. If the switch 2 was the switch pro, it would have over performed expectations rather than under perfomed

By now it will have sold a third of the wii u lifetime sales.
It won't be a 150M seller but it should still end up with around 100M by the time the gen is over.

The problem is that Steam Deck, the ROG Ally X and all the other handheld PCs aren't as easy and seamless to go from handheld to desktop PC on a desk running out of a display monitor what you use a real mouse and keyboard to utilize. The ability for the Switch to just slide into a dock and snap off the joycons for the console mode and then just snap the joycons back in and slide the Switch out for handheld is something the others don't have. Or at least I haven't seen it.

The question is "is it as easy, clean and seamless to switch between modes on you handheld PC as its done on the Switch". If the answer is "well, if you...." and you have a list of prerequisites that need to be set up and thought off before you attempt it, then the answer is no.
