The thing is, by the end of TW3 there were no more ways to make the trials, and with vesemir's death all the knowledge about it was lost, but it's ok, it was implied that humans were starting to learn how to deal with the fewer and fewer monsters on their own, and witchers weren't needed anymore. Both Geralt AND Ciri's story was finished by the end of TW3 and it was way more in character for Ciri to become the empress of nilfgaard and create a special task force of soldiers with all the knowledge about monsters she had, so she could actually help people instead of becoming a lone withcer for spare coin that would never fix anything like Geralt.

They're not superhuman. Bonhart is a completely normal human being and could routinely kill witchers because was a better swordsman than them. Geralt gets his ass kicked or on the verge of death multiple times. It depends on whether you're talking about the games or the books. In the games, there are plenty of monsters and even a world-ending event that was barely prevented. But in the games being a witcher is also just free fun where anyone with the "witcher powers" is basically an indestructible demigod who is simply better than non-witchers.
In the books the setting is pretty much fine and monsterless, besides the soon-to-be witch hunts it's gonna be relatively peaceful and human civilization is guaranteed to thrive. She's too old to undergo the Trial of the Grasses, and the surviving witchers, especially Geralt, would never agree to inflict it on her. CDPR made her a witcher because it's marketable, but I think it feels cheap.

I never cared about the being a woman part, I just think it's retarded to have what was essentially a hack n slash character in her playable parts suddenly become a Witcher. I'm much more interested/concerned about the gameplay ramifications than story ones.
Witcher 3 already had preparation not meaning jackshit even on Death March compared to previous games, and this doesn't inspire confidence that they'll correct the issue.
I want to study the monster I'm about to face, get the right tools for the job, and using them having a fair chance at the fight, not even trivializing it, but getting stomped if I don't prepare.
This is the experience of being a Witcher, not pressing X to awesome while hearing about some fat fuck's sad story about his daughter who hates him or whatever the fuck.
Witcher 2 sold the Witcher fantasy, Witcher 3 didn't.
