Is this the final course for anti-nintendo people? They end up going full circle and overpay for a piece of hardware that runs software unoptimized? So the overpriced nvidia gets 30 fps more than consoles do with a 2000 premium? You realize that the weakpoint of a PC is how fucking bad the OS is, right?

You guys complain that console makers are moving away from physical media? Yeah no shit, 90% of PC cases past 10 years haven't had DVD players in them anymore, I almost got sold one by a vendor until I noticed and said "it needs to have the slot" "oh my bad", and then there's Steam. All of this comes off very hypocritical.

Yeah it's quite silly. I 100% understand opting for a steam deck instead but a normal PC doesn't fill the same usecase as the Switch 2.

Yeah waiting is kinda the smart play right now. Hardware prices are nuts, and next-gen GPUs/CPUs are prob around the corner anyway. Honestly, even emulation boxes and handhelds are catching up in value. Why drop $2k on a rig to play Tears of the Kingdom in 4K when a $400 Steam Deck can run it just fine after some tinkering? We're at the weird in-between of a new gen shift, and no one wants to admit it.

Unless the market if is fucked up, you need to save money or you're weeks away from sales or big product launch, waiting for waiting's sake is usually the dumb option. Because yes, the price of a particular model will go down, but so will its place in product stack. And if you don't care about performance, just get an old second hand model with some life left in it. Your life is not long enough for waiting.

If the selling point of the generation is "play the games with better graphics and better resolutions" and in Switch's case "with a few games having joycon mouse support" just buying/building a PC is the smarter option. If you just want a handheld device, you now have handheld PCs to play on with more than only Steam Deck as an option and more to come. If you don't care about current day Nintendo's first party offerings getting the Switch 2 makes less and less sense.

TAA makes modern games on PC look blurry on 1080p res, so only way to get "old 1080p look" is to play on 1440p or 4k, which a 12gb VRAM Nvidia GPU can't do in modern titles (at least not on high settings).

Switch 2's 3rd party support is going to get even worse when the PS6 and new Xbox come out.
>But PS4 and Xbox One were supported all generation long
Two things. You somehow forgot about the impact Covid had on everything including video game development, video game buying habits and video game business decisions in general for that time. Second, if the trend continues, it would mean the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S become the new minimum requirements. Switch 2 can't compete on their level and you just get a repeat of this generation where you play the worst version of all 3rd party games if you get it on the Switch 2. Difference being that this time you have more options other than the Switch 2 if you want handhelds and if PlayStation releases their handheld and Xbox continues letting other OEMs use the Xbox name for their handhelds, Nintendo loses its biggest draw even there. Also before you bring up the Series S, it is also more powerful than the Switch 2. Switch 2 is around the level of a PS4 Pro and when you notice how many games have been announced as PS5/Series X|S/PC while Switch 2 is missing the large majority of the time, but Switch 2 seems to show up when PS4 and Xbox One are also present, you start to get why.
>Their biggest draw are the premium Nintendo 1st party games
How did that work out for the Gamecube? How did that work out for the Wii U?
How did that work out for even the N64 compared to the PS1?
Even if Nintendo were as good as they were back then, their games alone have never been enough despite what "Nintendo content creators" try to push.

Not only can you play like 95% of all games ever made on PC but if built right you can use said PC for more than just gaming. Yes Windows 11 fucking blows but there's ways to debloat it and there's always Linux which works for Single-player Games and Emulators better then Windows believe it or not.

Right now only reason to use Windows is Anti Cheat because many companies force breakage on Linux because reasons. Hell some games even make it impossible to play in a Virtual Machine which is kinda awkward because as seen on the Xbox, Hypervisors are the future of gaming for Microsoft. They already run games on the Xbox behind an Hypervisor which is a VM BTW. It's the reason Xbox Series games have quick start because it's a VM and when you close the game you are simply saving the state of the game.

The problem is matching of expectations. When you spend anywhere from 1500 to 2500 on a PC, you're going to have entirely different expectations to it than on a console that cost 450-600$ . You pay less for a console and you get "acceptable" performance for that price point, while when you pay high dollar for PC components, there's no guarantee that the FPS will always be stable. You kinda need 1440p or 4k monitor to gain clarity advantage that PC could offer.

Right now gaming tiers are based on resolution. Like while you don't need a lot to run 1080p 60fps+ when you go to 1440p you will need to spend more and 4k well let just say that unless you willing to spend 2 grand it's best if you stick with at most 1440p. Keep in mind no console does real 4k at 60fps. When you toggle performance mode they lower the texture resolution and consoles run at 1080p with upscale to 4k.

Switch 2 clickbait is fucking insane right now. Every day there's another one of these fucking things and they'll get 50k to 150k views easy. "A bloo bloo bloo, Nintendo tied Charles Martinet to a chair and castrated him without anaesthetic and then fed him his own severed testicles, so I'm not buying a Switch 2 right now instead I'm going to buy a Steam Deck which I would never have bought otherwise and I don't even know what I'm actually going to play on it" How about you make a video about the Steam Deck you just bought instead of a video about how you WILL buy one, as revenge, maybe.
