>>712638508It would only dissuade them when your lights are on/the switch isn't put away anywhere, but it'd be an interesting thing to check. It's not like roaches won't move in the light, but they're less likely to and they super panic at any change in lighting
>>712638314Yeah someone who is filthy is definitely going to get roaches or ants, but I feel like people overreact when you can get those in a clean house. When I lived in a forest they would just pop in from wherever (sometimes I could hear them as they forced their way under the window shutters, I would wait for them with something to smash them). When I moved into my apartment there were roaches night 1 even though the unit had been empty for a month, simply because if one tenant has roaches then we all have roaches (and the space between units is a great spot for them too).
When I was living in the forest my best preventative was to let the spiders and house centipedes live, they'd set up a turf and it would be harder for the roaches to encroach on it
