>Skull & Bones: 500 Developers / $750 Million
>Concord: 150 Developers / $400 Million
>Assassin's Creed Shadows: 500 Developers / $300 Million
>Star Wars Outlaws: 600 Developers / $250 Million
>Suicide Squad: 250 Developers / $200 Million
How did 98 sweaty gooks and a pornstar, not only DOUBLE the COMBINED player count of all these AAA western games, but do it at a fraction of the cost?
>>712646406 (OP)the more people work on a game the more diluted the actual game idea becomes
>make food with 2-3 spices>make food with 500 spices
>>712646493The gachanigger is required by law to report the costs of the project, which they did
>>712646406 (OP)At this point all those big games are gifts to scam investors who don't know any better.
skull & bones was confirmed to be a grift of the singaporean grant. It's ubisoft's key business, exploiting regional grants. Exactly how uwe boll does business, finds a country with a creative grant, agrees to make a film there, does the absolute bare minimum to pocket as much of the grant money for himself, rinse, repeat. montreal is fed up with ubisoft being HQ'd there for this exact reason and is essentially counting the days until 2027 when their deal is done and they can tell ubisoft to fuck off.
>>712646958Ubisoft does this everywhere they have studios. Thats literally why they open studios in bumfuck countries to take subsudies from local govs. They took deal for Beyond good and Evil 2 with French gov too thats why they still try to shit this game out - because just like with Skulls and Bones they have to. Btw Montreals gov already said that they plan to continue giving Ubisoft money just like they do with WB Montreal and thats sole reason why that studio still exists after releasing one bomb after literal decade.
no woke people working there? no agenda? no money laundering?
>>712647058We're talking development teams. Were not counting every member of the orchestra, caterer, etc.
>>712647298Bro if I was from Montreal I would vote against this dumbfucks who keep giving away tax money for this shit.
>>712646958That's literally how Ubisoft continues to exist. They set up shop in every country and ask for gibs in exchange for promoting the host country's culture or whatever in their game.
>>712646493The gacha money doesnt change the fact that they made a successful game with such a small team and dev cost. Just like how Nier Automata only costed like 20m dollars but sold 5 million copies.
>>712646636spbp, the larger the workforce, the more diluted the idea and the smaller the reach of the director. Plus they don't have industrial sabotage shit like DEI working against them, so they can literally make games without having to answer to colored armpit hair commissars.
>>712646406 (OP)it's basically a PS2 game.
>>712646902What, you Kenyan or something? Food analogies are the best type because everyone should be able to understand them, which is the ENTIRE POINT of analogy.
Anyone who fell for the
>food analogy badmeme is peak midwit. The only people who should take issue with food analogies are starving africans.
>>712647846>for promoting the host country's culture or whatever in their gamei think in the case of skull and bones, it was supposed to give local singaporeans real game dev experience from a big studio
the reality of course is that the frenchies just pocketed the money and left once the money dried up, leaving a bunch of people with no jobs and experience for the most menial of tasks
>>712646636Uncultured fool. There's already a perfectly suitable & common food analogy for "too many people working on something makes it worse" and you have no idea what it is.
>>712648879Afaik the singaporean goverment was also about to sue them because they spent a decade taking their money but had nothing to show for it. So skull and bones came out extremely lacking even compared to black flag which it was supposed to be based on conceptually.
>>712647676Subsudies are something normal anon. Issue is that Montreals gov is obsessed with becoming Canadian California so tech companies get retarded amounts of money because of that lol.
>>712646406 (OP)intense korean work hours
