>>712652857they tried letting the Vita have phone games on its platform with the Playstation Mobile idea, but they never actually bothered to do anything with it or get any big-name support
this was the same for any 3rd-party support on the system, Capcom jumped ship to Nintendo after Sony tried to force them to have trophies on PS3 with MHP3rd, and the only MH game that was on the Vita was a port of the PC MMO Frontier (which can be played today but still).
The PS Vita had no 'true' killer app beyond a port of a PS2 game (Persona 4 Golden) that wasn't as universally liked, and a 'me too' Monster Hunter clone that was 1st party (Soul Sacrifice and subsequently Delta). They had great ideas, but failed to execute any of them either out of laziness or incompetence. The PS Vita died of neglect, and none of their other retarded decisions helped. Ironically, it would've been a great thing if it was released just a couple of years later.
