Loved the game in the past, but it's a bit too simplistic for me now. It's also annoying having to revisit locations to pick up party members and class armor.

Is it actually one insane person doing it for the love of the game or is it a team of people larping as a single person? How are they even sustaining it financially? Does he/they have dayjobs?
I can't imagine that a 20 year old flash game with an optional single payment premium mode is keeping the lights on by itself. I doubt they attract more than a handful of nostalgic millennials a year.

They're on a skeleton crew, with most of them getting updates closer to once a month now rather than weekly, or have a normal size update split into weekly chunks over the course of a month.
