There are certain games on PS5 that don't autopop trophies when you make the switch from PS4. And I have an EXTREME ocd problem with completing things. Siege and Overwatch gave me every trophy so I assumed I was safe to download the PS5 versions of each game. Turns out not every game has this feature. Lazy, pussy game developers like Fromsoft for example. When I saw that I had to reclaim every Elden Ring trophy, my thoughts kept telling me I wasted money and Im a failure. But the insanely fast loading times, graphics, and my character progress being saved was enough to flip the switch in my brain. For the first time I no longer cared about meaningless trophies and numbers. I was just enjoying the game like the PS2 days. It's so weird that I was missing out on just having fun. So thanks for being a bunch of lazy, cowardly monkeys because it paid off.

Only achievements in TF2 and skill points in Ratchet games were fun to do (and gave you rewards).
All other cheevos are garbage unfun time wasters.

PS4 and PS5 games are considered different by the Trophy so you can double dip and earn the same trophies twice.
All those $1 dollar game give you two platinums that you can earn in 5 minutes each system and it's a sizable audience of players who buy these games just to boost their platinum numbers.
Pisses me off to no end because I have the platinum in FFXIV on PS4 which was very hard and took years of grinding to do and I can't earn the Platinum on PS5 without making a new character.
