For me it was mostly a pokemon machine. It was worth it for that alone, gen1 and 2 were the best. Super Mario Land 2 was also a great game. I still have one of these atomic purple gbc's and Gold Version is in it right now.

Bought these recently. It's fun hitting "random game" and seeing what crazy shit pop up. Streamed Kirby's Dream Land and Super Mario Land and had a ton of fun. I'm constantly amazed at what the GB/GBC can do. Recommend me some hidden gems fellas.

absolutely loved the Zelda games on it, some people really like the Mario and Wario Land titles, I think its alright but at the time it was the best way to play something on the go, a good chunk of its library were downsized ports with the actual good exclusive titles being sparse. Mainly you got a gameboy to play Mortal Kombat or whatever could be ported from the SNES to it easily.

Its library is mostly shovelware from europeans carrying over from their game design for aliens work on european computers. It had a smaller screen than the Pocket AND the DMG. The enhanced versions sucked for the most part. GBC was a fucking scam.

I'd say the screen alone makes the OG hardware unplayable, same for the DMG and GBA, but the library's good. I'm grateful to live at a time every handheld has a backlit screen and can emulate GBC with ease.

>Nintendo won't make a Game Boy "mini"

Why the hell not? This lends itself even better to the concept then the NES and SNES did. It doesn't even have to be all that much smaller than the original GB. Plus we can get a bunch of games on it and a proper backlit screen with an insane internal battery life. Plus it can even allow for us to play our original GB games. I absolutely would buy one even if I still have mine.

It's one of those Waterfield pouches, that one is for the Analogue Pocket but it fits the GBC fine. I like those because I can put a shoulder strap on it if I want to bring a handheld with me (if I buy a Game Boy game I like to test it before leaving, because I've come across a number of duds). It was probably me recommending Great Greed in another thread, it's a good game, very unique.

I have gotten three of them (currently one has my GBC, and two of the regular pouches that don't have the flap have one of my Analogue Pockets and my Modretro Chromatic), so it's worth it to me, but it's expensive for a bag. I really like using official, branded cases, but it's hard to find them in good condition sometimes. I have a modded Neo Geo Pocket Color coming in a few days and it seems like the official cases are impossible to find.

Know how much it kills me inside that we never got another Pokemon Pinball after that?

Most of the paid shills were YouTubers but thankfully every other site was quick to call out how awful it was, from using outdated Wood firmware, laggy gameplat, to even missing basic features like sleep mode. Cheap Chinese clone carts ended up outperforming it in every way and EZ-Flash ended up abandoning the Parallel.
