The game is called Fantasy Life i: the Girl who Steals Time. It is an action/RPG where you change jobs, or lives as the game calls it. You can fight monsters, mine, chop down trees, fish, craft, etc.

I tried a bunch of niche switch 1 games on my switch 2. Nothing scientific, just wanted to see how they ran. Alice Gear Aegis was basically unplayable on switch but looks pretty good now.

IMO most indies are better suited for the deck if only because the sticks + handles on the sides make it much more comfortable to handle. I like the Switch 2 with a soft plastic grip cover but the sticks don't scratch the itch for me. I'm seriously waiting for a new generation version of the Hori Split Pad Compact

3.5 million nerds just got their switch 2s and want the security of never having to get a second card and bought out the 512 options for a SD variant that just hit shelves like a month ago.
That said, I think you would have to actively try to run out of space on the 256 card plus the ~250 that comes baked in to the system.

My Switch has been sitting in it's dock for a couple years now because I only ever used it for Mario Kart and Smash. Until the Switch U get's it's own Smash I don't really have any reason to get one.

There was clearly a desire to "bring back" Donkey Kong after the Mario movie. Miyamoto pushed the theme park, there was DKCRHD, and of course NoA's Twitter was focused on DK forever, and it's likely all in the lead-up to this game. So while there is a desire to build DK back up, I wouldn't say it's "instead" of Mario and Link. TotK was in 2023, they're not going to have a big new 3D Zelda for the Switch 2 for years. I think we're more likely to see a modern remake of Ocarina of Time or Majora's Mask to fill the gap, or maybe they'll finally port WWHD and TPHD having saved them for this "Zelda drought".

It's fine if people don't like Mario Kart and don't care for the Switch 2, but literally every console launch is like this. One or 2 exclusives and nothing but crossgen and multiplat games. As far as Nintendo launches go, this is a pretty solid one considering Mario Kart is their biggest franchise now. The gamecube launched with Luigi's Mansion, a spin-off with Green Mario using a vacuum with slow gameplay. The Wii launched with waggle sports minigames and a crossgen gamecube Zelda game. The Wii U launched with Nintendo Land, a mini-game collection. The Switch had a crossgen Zelda game and a motion control party game.

Keep in mind that the backwards compatibility is not perfect, some games won't work well and need patches like Pikmin 3. I guess that game makes sense because it's a wiiu abomination modified to run on the original switch.

I'm kinda paranoid about how SF6 will go in the long run on it. Counting that and all the stuff I moved from my old Switch, I'm already looking at close to 200 gigs used up on the SD card I got for it (I have a 256, that's the only one they had). I saw on the site page that each character pass only takes up 3 megs each, but I don't know how much truth that holds. With all that in mind, it might be the only third-party game I get on my Switch 2, especially if key-cards continue to be a thing. I don't really plan on getting many first-party games either, I'm just biding my time waiting for Prime 4 by playing F-Zero
