Half of the bosses are way easier solo and the other half are around the same. Maris, Libra, Caligo, and Heolstor are way easier solo. Especially Libra, holy shit I was genuinely surprised when I fought him solo. Goes from insanity to very manageable, like he’s easier than most DS3 bosses.

Cool 10 minute solo fight against GOAT with Ironeye, tells me how little they playtested this game. not surprising, given how much of a cheap cash grab it is. it's always the same experience with bows and spells, boss lunges, you spend years dodging the 90 hit combo, then shoot once or twice before going back to dodging another 90 hit combo.
Ranged attacks seems to be a big no no against GOAT, but he's very wimpy against heavy attacks so Raider is still the GOATest.
