The only thing you can say negatively about Snipers are things you can just fix by adding some other towers that augment their abilities, which is the whole point of the game a lot of the time. On their own they're just kinda piss, but they serve a supportive role just as much as other towers can.
Just don't be bad and depend on it to carry you.
