They never stopped, bro... every time an “immersion-breaking” TAA smear or a "stylized" asset pack gets dropped in, it's another jab. At this point we're all just Stockholm’d by nanite and lumen.

how is hating UE5 so rampant? do you retards not understand that performance is dictated by the devs? every game with shit performance in unreal would have shit performance in unity or godot or whatever the fuck. you faggots need to die.

The most common sentiment I'm getting (something I do agree with) is how almost every game that uses UE5 have that same art style.

this will happen in any engine, it's an artifact of a graphical technique and not an engine, and it's an accumulation-based effect so it's not visible if you haven't artificially tanked your framerate like a retard

no it wouldn't. UE5 has unique dogshit mechanisms that destroy performance like lumen.

Also since the last thread got archived already, the triple nigel bundle of sticks from that thread should look up "geometry instancing", a decades-old technique which means you can render the same object a thousand times at much lower cost than a thousand discrete objects. It's how games like Hitman or Musou work. This is why it's not bad practice to, in his example, build a tunnel out of reused rock geometry of which you might only be seeing small chunks from various angles. Yes it looks wasteful in noclip, but it's actually not.

So turn off lumen then nigel, developers aren't forced to use it, it's literally a tick box. Literal fucking "but I did eat this morning"-brained ignorant gorilla.

it just so happen that every devs have become retard while using UE5. Make the world a favor and off yourself.
