It's not just the graphic fidelity, as others have said, the artstyle is trash too.

Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze and Returns already look better because the solid art direction carries it.
Meanwhile Bonanza neither has high graphical fidelity or a solid artstyle that stands the test of time. It just looks like shit from the get-go.

I've learned a very valuable lesson over these past few months.

I used to insist that Nintendo's next hybrid console needed to have a very high amount of teraflops and graphics as much as the Xbox Series X and PS5.

When Mario Kart World was revealed back in January, I was apathetic and not impressed.

But now, after seeing the new Rainbow Road, and with the promise of a wonderful narrative from Donkey Kong Bananza, I realized that it was the gameplay, the stories, and the characters that made me get the original Switch, not the graphical fidelity.
