I DEMAND more games set in, on or around scifi megastructures. This does NOT however mean, that I want MORE Halo games.

Fuck Halo. We deserve a BETTER game about a ringworld.

One that you actually get to explore that's full of weird shit like the Niven Ringworld would be nice, yeah.

I read Ringworld and the whole thing seems pretty desolate and empty. It felt like an open world game the way they're like "and then we flew on our hoverbikes for 1000 miles before seeing another castle"

There should be a space game set on a megastructure. That way you can actually explore instead of having to warp everywhere. Imagine seeing settlements placed on gigantic pieces of scaffolding, landing your ship there and getting quests from NPCs. Then you fly away and get into a dogfight in of the large empty spaces. I guess a segment of an asteroid belt could also work, but a megastructure exploration game would be gigakino.

Nah that sounds great, could take place on a beat up worn out old space colony like the one in ZZ Gundam which is just filled with junkyards and everyone either salvages broken down old equipment or does crimes. You could have nearby less shit colonies as separate maps as you progress.

Zoomers dont understand what made Halo Halo. Now whenever some game comes out, you are automatically given like 5 official trailers, the game has some sort of index in the menu that explains everything to you down to the fucking plants, there is some official wiki page, theres comic and miniseries that explain the backstory and then theres like 10000 youtubers dissecting it all for you.

Back in 2001, Halo was released with surprisingly little advertisement. It was a launch title for the new Xbox, there were a few print ads and that was kind of it. There were a series of 3 books that came out and thats all we got, just the base game with this dreamy and mysterious atmosphere. From that, fans were left to speculate on their own, what it all meant. THIS is why Halo is revered for its atmosphere, it had to be experienced at the time and moment to really understand it. With all the subsequent games and books, comics, movies ect. thats gone.

Giorgio di Chirico, the famous surrealist artist, based a lot of his paintings on an experience he had as a child. He was always amazed and stupefied by the alter at church and one day he snuck inside to see what was behind the alter. We he looked back and saw nothing, he was really disappointed and realized that the mystery of what was behind there was more powerful than what it could be. This is the sort of thing Halo tapped into when people here were playing it for the first time when they were 9-12 years old back in 2001

Sounds kino, especially if it involves at least some zero g activity. You could have a heist that involves boarding an incoming cargo hauler etc, shootouts in space or just for example, breaking into a cordoned off section of the station from the outside rather than using inside routes.
