I'm usually the guy who says that graphics don't matter much but damn this feels like a fan game. There's no reason why this game shouldn't look like Master Duel. And the 3d animations for cards like Black Magician or Blue Eyes White Dragon are so cheap that it feels like a fake Chinese knockoff.

I bought this on sale for $10. I'm glad I didn't pay full price for this, especially not when Master Duel exists and is free.

it feels low budget because IT IS low budget, it's just an option for people who want single player yugioh but without the retarded grinding of the old mobile games (yes you still have to grind but it's not as bad)

I'm not trying to hate on the game. I am enjoying it, and I also love Master Duel also. I appreciate that this is a fully single player experience and I was disappointed that Master Duel lacks something like that. I just think they could have given it more polish. Having a single player experience is great because even though I love Master Duel sometimes I just want to play the game without waiting an hour for some random Korean guy to finish is Rescue-Ace chain.

What else do you feel is rough besides the visuals? I've only done some story mode duels so far without custom decks, I haven't branched into anything else yet.

What are you talking about? Going first in Yugioh means going second. In Master Duel I always choose to let the opponent go first because it gives my deck and advantage if the opponent already has cards on the field (otherwise I would waste a lot of abilities in the first turn)

Animations are unskippable, so if you are farming with exodia (which is the most optimal way to obtain DP), have fun seeing the exact same unskippable animation every time. The animation is also not limited by anything. So if you play blue eyes, you WILL have to see an animation every time you summon BE.
Speaking of DP, unpacking cards is the slowest fucking thing ever. The animations is painfully slow and you just have to stare at it while it unlocks slowly. Furthermore, this is compounded by the card rarities being fucked. The cardpools are literally endless per pack, so there is a legitimate chance you have to open hundreds of packs, spending tens of thousands of DP, looking for that third Hayate.
Also Vrains isnt finished whatsoever, but we all know that.
In DM, story mission decks are painful to play (especially reverse duels) due to bullshit cards like swords of revealing light at 3 due to a lack of removal options.
I like the game personally, but man is it rough.

What's a good card to convert dead cards in hand into advantage on the field?
Something like King's Sarc, except I can't afford to run a Horus package. I have 1 ED slot and 1 main deck slot and often get 3-4 dead cards in hand that I can't play because I fill up my monster or S/T zones.
