Games with schizophrenic development history?

The game is HEAVILY influenced by Galactic Civilizations, but not in a good way, because planetary management becomes so god damn annoying once your empire gets very large.

Otherwise I don't really like the game. I'd rather just play Europa Universalis IV.

Stellaris was supposed to alleviate this with a sector management feature (instead of managing 10 different planets, you just manage the entire sector).... but it was removed. LOL

A game being maintained and revised for nearly a decade is not schizophrenic.

I haven't played in a year, they removed my scores? What the fuck why, I loved space federalism and naming them separately, roleplaying their history and purpose, designating core territory or defensive sectors on borders etc.
What did they replace it with?

They tried to implement a button to add a system on a sector instead of relying on arbitrary hyperlane connection distance. Sadly, attempting to engineer such arcane technology caused an uncontrolled nuclear explosion that destroyed Paradox's offices.

4.0 is a mess of dogshit poorly thought out and implemented features, they didn't replace it with anything, in fact planet management now is even more fucking unfun. update really killed the game for me.

That's why I stopped playing Paradox games desu. At certain point you realise they don't care about making a good game, they just care about having an organism that DLCs can live off
