>Following the stunning The Witcher 4 demo shown during the State of Unreal presentation earlier this month, Digital Foundry's Alex Battaglia had the unique opportunity to fly to Poland and meet CD Projekt RED (and Epic) to discuss what went into the demo and what kind of work the studio has ahead of itself for the full game.

PC/PS5-only games don't look any better than ones with a Series release, they just run worse. Take Forspoken and Hellblade 2 for example. The former looks like a 2011 title or something while Hellblade 2 is a rare example of a game that actually looks kinda "next gen", pity that they forgot to also make it a game rather than a walking simulator / movie. Responsive Design only started to take off around 2010 when the popularity of consoles and iphones skyrocketted. At that point it became clear in the industry that they need to have phones and consoles as a target platform, even though they are aiming for a simultanous PC release where you would profit from a better UI. And it isn't until 2014-2016 when this sort of enshittification as reached its peak, because at that point normies weren't bullying people for being on the internet anymore -- normies displaced them and made phone games and pc games mainstream

How is this a surprise? They said it since Witcher 3 at least. They outright came forward and said Witcher 3 literally couldn't exist without consoles because PC user alone can't or won't support a game of that scale with adequate sales.
