I think with the reveal of the ROG Xbox Ally, that basically confirms Microsoft's intentions for the next generation of Xbox hardware. 2026 will be the final swansong year of Series X/S, then after that it will be third party Xbox devices. From 2027 on, Microsoft will put more effort into Windows gaming and cloud streaming through Xbox Gamepass, while also building up their presence through cross-platform publishing (ie Halo on PS5, Switch).

Which makes me wonder as an Xbox user, what will happen to all the digital titles I purchased on Xbox 360 and Xbox One? I know some support "Play Anywhere" so I should be able to play these on any Windows-powered device in the future (stuff like Resident Evil 2 remake or Hi-Fi Rush). But what's going to happen to my 360 or Xbox One purchases that don't support Play Anywhere? Rare Replay is playable through cloud streaming, which isn't ideal, but it's still playable. But sometimes the things you bought for Xbox consoles get removed from cloud streaming, like XCOM 2...

they are working on emulation software to ensure xbox games run on pc and then they are going to drop dedicated consoles

Discontinued. Production for Xbox Series is largely discontinued. S was a very bad call. These consoles cost too much sbc have no exclusives, some of Xbox mkst retarded diehard fanbase are PC refugees who make the bulk of fanboy warring behavior against Playstation.

Pretty often. I still have some 360 games in my backlog and I use OG Xbox library to replay some games I loved to play on PC back in the day (it's much more convenient to run them like this instead of trying to get the old PC versions working). Even discovered some gems as well. Crimson Skies is now one of my favorite games of all time.

Focus on gamepass or creating a digital platform similar to steam/gfwl and try to sell that sub system to Sony and Nintendo.
Basically the same way EA and Ubi have their sub services on the ps5, ms will have theirs on the ps5 as well.
Hardware like new consoles or portable system will exist but in low supply, not the focus. Same way steamdeck is out there but not valve's focus, MS new hardware will be out there in some places but won't be the main focus.
