Metal Gear Solid Master Collection volume 2 will include MGS4, Peace Walker, and MGS5. No bonus games this time. After volume 1's mixed reception they're taking great care to port MGS4 properly and aim to have a build that hits a solid 60fps at all times, with a 4K option for current gen consoles and PC. Players who already own MGS5 can purchase the definitive edition as a less expensive "upgrade". It includes mission 51, which Kojima was privately consulted for but this will not be publicized. No other changes to the rest of the game aside from graphical enhancements.

Depending on how well volume 2 does Konami is considering a "bonus" volume with all the non-canon side games: Ghost Babel, Portable Ops, Acid, Revengeance, and Survive. Unfortunately no Twin Snakes because Nintendo refuses to let go of it, most you'll see there is a Gamecube NSO release.

Everything else semes believable except this. If we ever get a collection with MGSV in it, I can guarantee it will be identical to the current version. Chapter 3 is not real and never will be.

MGS4 and PW are givens but this post reeks of bullshit. As niche as it is, I would unironically love for Survive to be re-released with the mandatory online and mcirotransaction economy dropped, Survive genuinely has some sparks of brilliance but has the microtransaction economy weighing it down.

Given how much Konami is suddenly embracing Kojima-era MGS I can actually see them wanting to include it as a gesture of good will. Would never have said the same thing a few years ago but after the master collection and delta (which keeps all of Kojima's credits) it's possible, half the work on mission 51 was already done anyway

This was blown so fucking out of proportion lmao. The launch version of master collection mgs3 had some audio issues on PC that got ironed out quickly and it was 1080p. I get wanting higher resolution but the way people talk about it you'd think this shit was completely unplayable. We played mgs3 at 480p with scan lines in 2004, you faggots can absolutely handle 1080p.
