Dune and Stellar Blade had a great weekend on Steam
BOTH recently released games hit almost 200k concurrent players EACH.

Where is all this doom and gloom from "journalists" coming from?

Journalists are faggots and throw a fit when they can't influence gamers. Korean and Chinese games are immune to Weststoids and thus the biggest target. They're already starting the cycle with a new K-RPG

Publishers don't waste ridiculous amount of money on game journos anymore (they waste it on Twitch/Youtube instead) and game jornos are desperately trying to show publishers that their opinions still have power over the masses (like the good'n'old anti-JRPG propaganda days).

They and their friends are just losing their jobs and influence. That's all.

Instead of listening to video game journalists, people are listening to influencers instead and instead of the industry growing in genres and games they control, its growing in asia and on mobile and in live service games.
