tl;dr
Made a big show of being "true communists", went to award ceremonies cosplaying in 1950's Soviet party outfits. Hired anti-white and antifa scum for the horrible voice acting they forced on their VN after release.
Devs thought they were 100% above anything financial related (being true communists) so they left everything in the hands of their finance department (one guy) and he used his absolute power to make the company his and throw out the original devs, making sure they never saw a single euro from the sales of DE.
