It's seems Monolyth had no fucking idea what they were doing.
It should have been easy, they already had the engine from the LotR games, they could have repurposed the combat since Wondie often fights with a sword and shield.
All they needed to do was copy the Batman games by Rocksteady, give Wonder Woman a city and have her fight her rogues gallery.

But they spent multiple years, hundreds of millions, without even leaving the conceptual stage of development.
It was apparently fucked from the start when they hired those retards.

There aren't any fucking villains on Paradise Island, it's called fucking 'Paradise Island.' Why not set it in 'man's world' (to use Wonder Woman terminology) that's where her villains are. Otherwise you'd need to justify why Wonder Woman's most popular and most interesting villains like Dr. Psycho, Cheetah, The Silver Swan, Circe, Giganta, and Dr. Poison had gotten onto Themiscyra when that wouldn't be necessary at all otherwise.

In some ways, I don't mind that the Wonder Woman game was cancelled, because from everything I've heard, it would have been shit and had been a terrible first video game for the character.
