Some of the custom tracks are very good.
GTGP-D, -D specifically because the asshats that make the original track block the dolphin emulator from working.

get Retro Rewind pack if you only care about remakes of official tracks. Usually these are better quality than many fan custom tracks anyways.
My honest opinion is think the physics in wii are garbage. They are so broken you can launched off the track by simply driving on the track geometry. I wish I was joking. No weird shell or banana collision glitches, the track itself can launch out off the track. How did this get past QA.

Honestly I didn't, which is why I didn't name it. I never cared for Double Dash other than playing Baby Park with friends when it was still new. Outside of that I didn't think it was that great even though it was faster and more chaotic than 64. DS was the only other one I felt was actually a good Mario Kart game. Wii came out and even though I played it more than DD, I looked at is a step down from DS. 3DS I keep forgetting exists, and Mario Kart 8/Deluxe was when I knew I just didn't care that much about the series like I thought. World makes me feel next to nothing but indifference.

Scratch that. I enjoyed this, but I also liked playing their version Rainbow Road for the first and second time, that battle mode where you throw bombs at your friends (particularly the on the stage where you can go through warp pipes) and hearing Mario say "LET'S A--GOOOO" in that echo kind of way he did in dolby surround sound. I just wanted to throw that in to say I didn't hate it, it's just not my favorite or what I would ever really call "the best" of the Mario Kart games I've played.

I don't want to be that guy but as a casual racer enjoyer, CTR blows mario kart out of the water. Doing timed power boosts all around the stage was fun as fuck. Hot air skyway is my favourite map for these kinds of games.
