drow have souls. Mindflayers don't. Drow are all elfs, be it edgy and fucked in the head. Mindflayers are more like bio-mechanical robots who use humanoid species and their memories same way chatGPT amalgamates information. Just as how chatGPT isn't sentient and just vomits out whatever it consumed just mindflayers only act like their host but the host is nothing but just data and the mindflayers are reading it.
Here's another similarity between chatGPT and mindflayers, the more they "think" and process whatever information they have, the less it relates to its original. This is the reason why eventually all mindflayers all go bad, eventually their host's identity gets processed so much its no longer there and whatever remains is whatever the mindlfayer or more likely the elder brains and hiveminds implant in it.

How come Mindflayer power synergy with Wizard absolutely dominates any other class by a huge margin? You think they would have designed this to be a bit more applicable to the others. Other classes typically only have one or two abilities that synergize really well while Wizards and Sorcerers have like half a dozen that are extremely useful.
