On PC it will probably work in a few weeks, someone is hopefully going to develop a driver for it.

I use a third party GC adapter that works on the PC, Switch and WiiU. Hopefully it works on the Switch 2 also. I don't feel much input lag when using it. Finding a nice GC controller is hard, but I own a Gamecube so it's worth.

Gamecube controllers are in high demand due to competitive Smash being big. They obviously have to use it for Melee and it's still the only truly wired option for Ultimate unless you want to pay like $150 to convert a Pro Controller into mimicking a GC controller.
