Companies like Nvidia pull this crap even with their GPUs for instance, where they're showing game performance assuming DLSS w/ framegen output vs a competitor's card or a previous generation, instead of raw apples to apples performance native. There are also related issues like how many developers and engines (UE especially) do not optimize properly plus jam it full of shit like RT with questionable benefit at huge performance penalty, then tell the users to just upscale and use framegen and other shit to get decent performance; normalizing this behavior ruins everything. There's nothing wrong with having these technologies and upscaling is useful especially for phones and slim tablets like the Switch 2, but people should be honest about what's really going on and not engage in shittier behaviors like those described above.
