I own a steam deck and that did nothing to slow me down from purchasing a switch 2.
PC for everything
steam deck for the 80% of my library and VN backlog that doesn't push hardware very hard
switch for exclusives

And? The PS2 was sold at a loss. The original Xbox was sold at a loss. The Xbox 360 was sold at a loss. The PS4 was sold at a loss. It's not uncommon for consoles to be sold at a loss and the software sales to be expected to make up the difference.
