Players from Australia, are your online games always laggy?

Yes if you're on American or European servers, Europe is worse and actually out of the question bad. If you're in Australia you can only play Oceania for acceptable online latency, so maybe SEA sometimes. Generally our communities are with New Zealand to have a good time. We play our own servers when we can because we know it's shit. You have no idea how much this limits your options as a gamer. It's the worst part about living in the country, sometimes I've wondered if moving to the United States might just be a better life for gaming.

If I have to play in NA or EU servers yes, and that is often the case since this country only wants to populate the most normiecore games or hardcore milsims.

I think the reason i have the strongest amount of push back to the modern gaming industry saying online games 'don't need' server browsers is because i can't as easily just play directly with people in my country and form proper communities. We have games like Squad that thrive for this specific reason. Any game worth a damn should have this as a standard. Because i don't want to be matchmaked into some laggy mess.

I have lost many 'friends' because they refuse to take turns being laggy by using my servers half the time.

Yeah. Depending on the game, I just suck it up and play on America servers even if the game has Oceania ones.

Warframe I play on America region, just so I can find groups. Same with FFXIV when I used to play it.

Only games I don't play on alternate servers are pvp shooters because that sounds miserable as shit.
