I've never experienced a better game than this, how did they make such a masterpiece a decade ago that still holds up completely in visuals, music, and gameplay? are you as excited for the new DLC as I am, imagine that, a perfect 10/10 video game, and it gets new content updates a decade later just because.

I unironically fell asleep not once but three times while playing this melodrama with a shitty and janky Ubisoft game tacked onto it. Though to be fair I was at college at the time so I would constantly fall asleep whenever I got bored

Hello underpaid CD shill
The game is okay and they’re only making another DLC to market Witcher 4 better. But, try as hard as you want. Witcher 4 will never sell well as Witcher 3 bcuz no one wants to play as some dish washer

Shame that CD Projekt RED can't make a fun combat system for the Witcher games, it's such a fucking snooze fest. Movement feels extremely stuff too. Shame because I love everything else about the game.

The finally made melee fun in Cyberpunk with the expansion so it gives me hope that they can finally do something similar with Witcher gameplay.

That applies to the DLCs. The base game of TW3 aged like shit, Velen is a hideous brown smear, Novigrad is extremely superficial and Skellige is empty. The MSQ is horrible too. TW2 is a more refined, well paced game. It's like how the Witcher books were best with the short story prequels, this series should've been a collection of small 15-20 hour games, Blood and Wine and Hearts of Stone as individual games.

It's just way too long. It's one of those games people have like 500+ hours in. Combat is terrible and the sign post fast travel is annoying. It's cool just not for me.

The average playthrough with dlcs is probably like 120+ hours which is way too long for a game where the gameplay is wearing thin within the first 10 hours.

First time I played it I loved the fuck out of it until the third act, save for the ciri sections which were just not fun and her character is cardboard. On replay the cracks really stuck out all over the game, I think I was starved of any good games for a long time leading up the release of this.

I do not think we will have the same ecstasy when the game launch as when we had when Avowed, Assasin Creed Shadows, Marathon, the few games featuring black and indian women launched, but I do think that it will be another KC2 : it will be a mid game, more of rug pull and betrayal of the original fan base and it will sell, but not that great. It will be forgotten in around 1 month. I think it is a flop-slop, but I do agree that it is not in even in the same ballpark as the other flop-slops. a 6/10 game by user reviews. 10/10 by journo reviews... of course.

Holy shit, missed that part about your post.
Makes sense that they'd want to bridge the gap between Ciri gaining witcher powers.
But in that case I don't think the protag of the DLC will be Geralt, meaning it will be Ciri.

I very much enjoyed the story and visuals but everything else is lacking. From RPG systems to the honestly quite mediocre combat. Both don't hamper the experience but they sure as hell don't elevate it. Witcher 3 is one of those games I'd never replay.

Replay value is abysmal cause of pacing and placeholder tier combat and bosses. Also, refilling consumables through meditation is extremely shitty mechanic that fucks with already bad pacing, beaten only by copout crossbow that you need only for underwater bullshit and to make potentially interesting flying enemies into badly designed land enemies. Otherwise - decent visual novel, would recommend for a single playthrough. With that said I probably won't buy W4, cause without Dzherarudo as MC,i don't have my jaded edgelord sarcastic cunt self-insert, so visual novel aspect of it is moot. CDPR are very good with enviromental design, but i won't sit through 60 hours of dialogues just to jerk off to well rendered and nostalgia inducing swamps.

cyberpunk is a tech demo, not a game. The other games are somewhat liked, but almost nay discussion about cyberpunk is a discussion of how well certain GPU drivers work, how do GPUs run it, what framerate, any fake frames for some GPUs? and so on.... i have seen more people talk about how cyberpunk runs on raspberry pi than about the gameplay. The gameplay may as well be just the top left corner GPU, CPU, Temps lines and numbers.

Look at the screenshot: cyberpunk gameplay is looking at the top left corner and making temps go down while frames go up.

before it, the lara craft games were the benchmark games, so i will agree that its an improvement. cyberpunk is much more demanding game than the womb raider and it really does its purpose well. If I am going to test a GPU, i will install cyberpunk and walk in the city looking for stutters, average frames, GPU temp and so on. Riva Tuner is the launcher for Cyberpunk if you think about it as you first must have MSI Afterburner and then you install Cyberpunk

In Bitcher you just play one style only whereas in MH it offers so many attacks and interaction to the environment than dance round like a zesty bitch for hours fighting the same mobs and enemies for hundreds of hours.

Cyberpunk is masterclass on level design with some questionable placements of enemies, but rest of it is average to above average. Game also struggles with pacing similarly to W3. If you follow main quest, you'll find yourself stuck in whats essentially dialogue heavy anime cutscene for like 2 hours before they'll let you play some game.

all I am saying is that those games are mainly used as benchmarks and I would not be suprised if the achievements for these games in places like Steam are absurd: I literally expect entering the main city to be something many players have done but killing an enemy to be rare even if killing an enemy is easy. there are many people who basically install cyberpunk to look at how their GPU works. Before it, the last Tomb Raider was the GPU Benchmark game.

so.... 1/3 of people are are buying the game only to test their GPU.... and that is a counter argument to my claims somehow? How many people have entered the city with the many people ? I have never played the game but the benchmarks are always shot in the city.

You don't really "need" to. It helps understand some namedrops and events that get referenced, but there's nothing in it that makes you feel like you have to go back and do that one before proceeding.
It's got a system that determines some things based on your W2 savegames, but if you have none, it has a provision for that as well.
