What happened? Did Gabe eat the devs in one of his episodes?

I gave up on half life once I realised the sheer amount of cut content, it's a really mid game doom 3 level really

Valve has spent literal years making it abundantly clear that they had no concrete plans for the Borealis.
It makes sense that people stopped caring, it's weirder if you do care.

The big anticipation wasn't for HL3, it was for Episode 3.

my biggest complaint is making a halflife game VR. if there were more good games for VR maybe i'd buy it so i could play it, but the only thing i'd do right now is play HL:Alyx and try to find some good free VR porn but i doubt there's much.

basically this, HL2 is a rushed piece of shit that could have been much bigger and better if Valve didn't care so much about a stupid leak.

doing a crossover was a mistake, these two universes don't fit each other, portal is like a pixar cartoon while half life is more like a scifi thriller. like the whole aperture science facility is decades ahead of any half life technology, there's no way that faggot cave johnson would go bankrupt with this shit

I didn't even like half life 2, really. Didn't bother finishing episode 1.

It can work; all they need to do is present a more professional side of Aperture and omit all the crazy stuff.
