No it's not. The old games had a basic enemy or two to encounter in nearly every room. Whether it's a giant spider (lmao at Demake 2) or a hunter or a zombie, you had something to fight or at least run from.

Desperate Escape was barely better because it at least focused on what works in RE5 which is the combat, but it didn't have any new enemies.

Why the fuck would faggot RE4 fans even pretend to like this feature which you can easily miss as it's treated like an easter egg? They like the shitty action game that is RE4 (a game where you have to pause to switch weapons.), so them pretending to like classic Resident Evil is even more hilarious.

Oh, and Mercenaries Reunion turned out to be a fat goose egg too. No new maps. While I appreciate the new characters and weapons, I don't think this is worth whatever money they charged for it back in the day. (Still better than Demake 2 except Ghost Survivors which is unironically the best part of that shit game)

idk what file you're talking about, but there is a whole library room in Lost in Nightmares full of Spencer's diary entries where he writes about the Wesker children program, explains that Albert and Alex were the most promising subjects, talks about tasking Alex with developing a solution for immortality, and then ends with him writing frustratedly about Alex cutting contact with him and completely disappearing along with her research (which sets up the island in Revelations 2)
