I still play a lot of realm and I recently cleared my first HM shatters. To be honest, the game did get better but I still do think it's kind of fundamentally shit and they're trying to macgyver it as it goes on. It does feel like it's a dev team trying to salvage an old ass outdated game.

I tried a bunch of gookshit mmos, in their free-trial zones etc. I really liked Priston Tale but I couldn't go over lvl 20 or something without subscribing. I ended up playing a tonne of Guild Wars, which for some reason upset the WoWbabbies at my school, I guess they were jealous they had to pay monthly fees or something, but they were two entirely different games. I got kicked out of home, so I could only play a few months anyway. My mum was dating some abusive drug addict and eventually she took his side over mine over some bullshit his son made up, she also was treating me like I had mental issues before that happened for a few years, which wasn't true. it turns out she was the schizo all along

did any of you play rappelz? I dont remember if that was the right spelling or not. i didnt get very far but it was pretty comfy and i played it for half a year or so. It had a good ambience to it like runescape where it was fun to explore aimlessly and encounter mobs seeing how far you could get

Silkroad. It was so shit, I barely even played it but I still remember how bad it was. Can't even walk around the starting town properly because there are tons of invisible object boxes getting in the way of pathing.

It's shitty now but honestly it was great when I was still playing. As soon as Arc 2 came out, adding in Celestia, Zafaria, etc was around the time I stopped playing. The first arc (wizard city through dragonspire) was fucking amazing for 11-12 year old me. The game was a little too monetized for my liking but it wasn't any worse than other MMOs at the time.
I consider my time fucking around in this game while listening to B182 and Fall out Boy fond memories. Thankfully I never got into any other real MMOs, just Warframe.

Did anybody ever play My Lego Network? It was kind of like an MMO with characters and quests and progression, but all presented through this fake facebook-ish artificial social network themed around lego. I remember it had music sequencers to make songs that played when someone visited your page like on myspace and other limited social features so you could interact with other players. Really weird in retrospect, and it's just a faded memory now.

Runescape. I hate RS3 but I HATE OSRS. Combat was always the shittiest part and for the last 7 years, that's all the games been about, skillers get jack shit, ironically something RS3 is getting right, really good skilling to make up for it's own shitty combat.

Farmed boxes in 5/10 day and night for the first timecode (pre-plex, pre-salvage).
Couldn’t play for shit in PvP though, so I ran Navy Scorpion for “srs” and Blackbird for low-sec ganking.
Kinda miss young and dumb I was, don’t miss the game one bit.
