>>712797334 (OP)This and Kunitsu-Gami where my favorite games of last year. Definitely felt like a niche classic.
>>712797334 (OP)>slitterheadpossession mechanic was good, otherwise its unremarkable adventure game
>>712797334 (OP)I played it. It's broken as all fuck and it feels like a fully unfinished and badly translated indie game but it has vast amounts of uncommunicatable soul. Like a PS2 value title with really authentically freak mechanics. The OST's fucking amazing too. The ending can suck my nuts, though. As well as all of the nonimportant cast when there should have been about 4 or 5 max.
>>712797334 (OP)I liked it, it has the potential for a great sequel. They could expand the story further and refine the mechanics. It's clear that they were very limited due to their low budget.
It's in a much better state now a few patched in.
>>712799232My thoughts exactly. It's a mess but it's one I can respect for having ambition and heart, it really does have that PS2 bargain bin energy.
>>712800736It's at its best when you're in a panic over where your runaway objective is or the amount of slitterheads still in the field and you're switching between dudes fast while trying to keep up. There's a particular kind of balance the game reaches at its best which is very similar to the top cool shit in Gravity Rush. But it feels so half-baked in story and details, like it's a chinese counterfeit Game Boy game.
>MUH YAMAOKA MUH TOYAMA HECKIN SILENT HILL DEVELOPER
>dogshit game, plays like shit, sold like shit, forgotten 1 week after its release
>praise it
>Game hits mainstream, plays great, sells amazingly
>Shit on it in typical /v/ manner
>>712797334 (OP)Not yet but I plan to, because I love Siren. So I'm leaving the thread now, just wanted to express my interest.
