MKDS will forever be the best one. It has the highest skill ceiling, expansive solo mission mode, can play battle mode vs cpu, and it has the best tracks

Fun part is that Yoshi also has the worst top speed for some reason, and a generally poor statline. Toad/Peach got better speed, better acceleration AND better handling than Yoshi, all for one point of weight that barely even matters. They really hated Yoshi in SC.

I always found the ranking systems of pre 8 mario kart dumb. Why the game doesnt have a screen showing your scoring while also telling you what you did or didnt do to get points is insane. Like even as late as wii and 7 refused to let the player know what the game wanted for 3 stars.

It’s like the devs gave him the Yoshi cookie and then shoved him into the trash anyway. He's supposed to be a middleweight but gets outclassed in literally every stat category. It’s actually hilarious how every other lightweight gets better treatment—at least give him acceleration or top speed to make up for the handling. Playing Yoshi in SC is like hard mode cosplay.
