I bought one of these and used it for about 5 minutes. Too big for my tiny baby hands, and the more basic joystick base was some hot dogshit and no better than a 20 dollar T16000.

I've bought pretty much every gayman peripheral (racing wheel, HOTAS, VR) and I always get bored of them within a month or two after I've played the best games that support them. Now all that shit has been sitting in my closet for years. I don't think anything will ever beat just sitting on your ass in front of a screen with a traditional controller or keyboard.

I had the most fun with the wheel, but that might've been buyers remorse given I spent a bunch of money and time building a rig and fancy pedals for it. Joysticks sound cool, but I ultimately just don't have the time to get good at them, and the games on offer aren't the best.

Sounds like you weren't actually into the genres of games those peripherals supported and just wanted new toys. As a fan of racing games the idea I would get "bored" of the superior input method is strange, I use a wheel because that's the easiest and most fun way to engage with the game. Same with my fight stick, the peripheral I never use is my flight stick because it's obvious all the space sims and arcade flight combat games I was using it for weren't designed around the peripheral and it was just making shit harder for no reason.
