I think people are starting to experience Japfatigue.
Their repetitive tropes, generic character archetypes and weird poorly though-out stories isn't impressive anymore. Even Fromsoft's latest rolling simulator is barely topping Stellar Blade.

The entirety of Nintendo and their second parties.
Vanillaware are ardently exclusive and practically refuse to port, literally letting their games die on forgotten consoles instead.
Square Enix just released Bravely Default HD exclusively on the Switch 2, but that might be a remnant of some long-ago contract.
Atlus had SMTV locked away for a while, but Persona 3 Reload had simultaneous releases so that might be going the way of the dodo.
Lastly, Rockstar, GTA6 is still going to be exclusive to consoles for 6-12 months.
