It unironically feels like fanfiction. What the FUCK happened? And don't say "it's dumbed down because of voice acting". There's zero new books in Oblivion outside of the town guides. Plus there's tons of fully voiced games have complex lore and stories

Oblivion had great lorebooks such as The Argonian Account, The Mythic Dawn Commentaries, The Remanada, The Adabal-a and The Song of Pelinal. If you want to see the real bottom of the barrel, that awaits you in Skyrim. You haven't seen nothing yet.
