The thing that makes fix camera so great are the kino angles. It was like being personally pampered. Someone took the time out of their life to ensure a perfect shot and beautiful composition for you to enjoy. We dropped all of that for waypoints, yellow paint and detective vision. Life is fucking sour.

this doesn't happen in resident evil cuz of tank controls, with tank controls going forward is relative to the character and not relative to the camera.

I never understood why using both isn't more common, even sh1 does it but the tp cam is the novelty for performance reasons. You wouldn't even need yellow paint anymore because you can just use the fixed cam to point at interactable thing.

I just 100% RE2 the other month and I disagree. Camera angles and tank controls can be good, but you are always actively fighting them and it makes the experience too "gamey". I'm not even talking the standard complaints like enemies hiding off screen. I'm talking bullshit like the final tyrant fight where you have carefully maneuver your character a round an enemy that's constantly off screen and adjust your bearings since there's a camera change in the middle of the arena for no reason.

Do you boring fags just hold forward until the game is over? You can spin the camera around and find all sorts of good shots. But because the game isnโ€™t holding your hand for it, you lack imagination, and never take your time, you donโ€™t enjoy the visuals. Stop and smell the roses, faglord. Next time you play a survival horror, walk for the entire game and look around more.
